I’m taking care of the final edits on my new Travelers crime thriller, The Stolen Art Two-Step, so we’re closing in on the release.

In the meantime, last month I read This Dog for Hire (The Rachel Alexander and Dash Mysteries Book 1) by Carol Lea Benjamin (2015). 

This is a straight-up New York City murder mystery, where the detective (Rachel) and her pit bull (Dash) are hired to find out who killed a gay artist who owns a champion show dog. Lots of red herrings and plot twist here, as well as real info about the show dog world. There’s no inside-the-dog-mind stuff here, just dogs acting like dogs and people acting like people, so you know from the get-go who is trustworthy and loyal.
